Alan Ford, FAIA

Alan Ford established Alan Ford Architects P.C. on June 1, 2007. Previously, Alan was a design and managing partner with Hutton Ford Architects P.C. from 1993 to May 2007. A licensed architect with over 35 years of experience, Alan has a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado. Prior to 1993, Alan worked with W.C. Muchow and Partners in Denver, and Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects and John Burgee Architects with Philip Johnson in New York. Alan has served on the editorial board of the award-winning AIA magazine, Architect Colorado, and as an honorarium professor and guest critic at the University of Colorado, School of Architecture. He is a former member of the national AIA Soloso (now Architect's Knowledge Resource) Editorial Content Review Board and former subject matter expert for the website's design content. Alan's passion is participating in and promoting quality, high-performance, sustainable architecture, with an emphasis on green schools. He is author of the recent book Designing the Sustainable School and co-author with Paul Hutton on the book A Sense of Entry. Alan has published articles in Architect Colorado and on WorldArchitectureNews.com.
