Project Information

Town of Basalt Early Childhood Education Center

Alan Ford Architects has partnered with Land + Shelter Architects to provide a conceptual design for an Early Childhood Education Center for the town of Basalt. It includes (2) preschool classrooms, (3) toddler classrooms and (1) infant classroom. The center will have (3) outdoor playgrounds that encourage exploratory learning play with age appropriate multi-sensory learning including sound, texture and opportunities for creating individual expression. Biophillic design is used to connect to nature through vision windows that also allows views throughout the school. Photovaltaic power is used to achieve Net Zero.
