Tyler promoted to Assoc. Principal
Alan Ford Architects has expanded its leadership team by promoting Tyler Michieli, AIA, to Associate Principal. The promotion recognizes Tyler’s contributions to the growth of the firm and his complementary approach to Alan Ford, FAIA, in continuing the firm’s expertise in the design of educational buildings and spaces. In his new role, Tyler will actively manage and mentor studio staff, lead the management of education projects, and oversee the firm’s next round of growth. “Tyler’s collaborative management style and mindset that the projects we work on are with our clients, not for our clients, make him a natural addition to the firm’s leadership team,” said Alan Ford, FAIA, “in addition to clients, I’m confident that current and future staff will benefit under Tyler’s leadership."
Tyler joined the firm in 2017 and has continued to grow his design and leadership skills while contributing to the firm’s design portfolio, specifically on the Lyons Middle/Senior Auditorium Addition and the Denver School of the Arts South Campus Expansion projects. His passion lies in designing buildings and spaces that are sustainable and contribute to a larger goal. This is partly why he is drawn to working with education clients. When asked what his vision for the future of Alan Ford Architects is, Tyler points to wanting to continue the growth of complementary market sectors, particularly with mission-driven entities that embrace the firm’s value of co-creation.
